Language Arts- Short Vowels 

Book It- Pizza Hut sponsors a reading incentive from October- March to encourage reading. The children complete a monthly reading log and return it to receive a free personal pan pizza coupon to use at Pizza Hut.

The students listened to several different stories so far to prepare them for a great year. We read : 
Have You Filled a Bucket Today?, The Little Engine That Could, The Way I Act, different cooperation stories and a Berenstain Bears book about washing hands.  We started the Magic Treehouse story Midnight on the Moon that ties in with the science unit on Space that God created.

Hoppy Student- Each student will be assigned a certain week to share items and photos about themselves. It’s similar to Star Student. Items brought into share must fit in a bag. Please no pets. Pictures will be displayed on a bulletin board. Items and photos are brought in to share with the class on Mondays. The items go back home Monday and pictures displayed go home on Friday.

#1 Means- I interrupted class by talking or making noises.

#2 Means- I did not keep my hands and feet to myself.

#3 Means- I did not follow directions.
